The Lakota language is everybody's responsibility. With your help we can prevent the deterioration of this beautiful national treasure.

Lakota children have wanted to learn their language, but have not been able to for want of textbooks and learning aids. Teachers have wanted teaching aids but often can't get them.

You can help.

The most important thing you can do is to contribute generously. Your donations help us produce essential and otherwise unfeasible revitalization materials. Your generosity helps us undertake important projects that could otherwise never be done - Projects such as:

• Additional teaching aids, letting us reduce the cost to Indian schools

• Language promotional campaigns

• The translation and production of books, songs, and films to help create a new literature in the Lakota language.

We are always looking for interested and motivated individuals who would like to contribute their skills and time. Are you interested in linguistic fieldwork or technically inclined? Do you have fund raising experience?

We are always looking for variety of skill sets. Revitalizing a language is diverse and complex undertaking and we welcome your help.

Contact us at contribute@lakhota.org or 812.340.3517.
